Coffee in Duluth

Appeared on Acrylic Teepees

(David Munyon / Pebe Sebert)

How have you been

Had to call your mother

To get your phone number again

I saw two doves

They reminded me of how we both used to run

So wild and free

So full of innocence and truth

Now look at me

When I need a shot of where I've been

You know I've always got to talk to you

So if you're driving through

And got the time

The grass is so darn green

It's almost blue

And, there's Coffee waiting for you

In Duluth

I guess you heard

I left Portland and came back home to work

Gave up the road

But you kept our vision

You never gave up hope

You're just an old shoe

Out in the wind

Singing at Holidays Inn

Ah, look at you

When I need a shot of where I've been

You know I've always got to talk to you

So if you're driving through

And got the time

The grass is so darn green

It's almost blue

And, there's Coffee waiting for you

In Duluth

I knew the first time I saw you

you'd be my friend for life

When I need a shot of where I've been

You know I've always got to talk to you

So if you're driving through

And got the time

The grass is so darn green

It's almost blue

And, there's Coffee waiting for you
